If you didn't see my other thread, this is one of the 2007 limited run Charvel Custom Shop guitars. I made a fair offer and got it. The original owner had the pickguard made with the slanted single coil slots and correct knob/switch placement as it originally had straight single coild (which must be some Jake thing they wouldn't copy). He also replaced the black bridge/chrome saddles with a chrome one with black saddles. I just found a correct black JEL bridge online that I'll be replacing it with for it to be correct. Great player...

Looks awesone. Does it have a short scale and the two different sizes of fret wire?

Thanks and no - this is just a standard 25.5" with jumbo fret wire. Jake's original is a 21 fret Fender strat neck as far as I know - don't know anything about shorter scale length or two types of fret wire - not really an expert on Jake, just dig the look of his guitars and his incredible playing...

Whitey, that sweet beast! Something about it grabbed me the first time I saw it. Maybe it was just the way Jake bent the hell out of the neck when he played. Nice score!

Yeah, Jake's the man. I think his ESP sig was short scale with jumbo frets except near the top, where they got smaller.
 
Woo, that thing is hot Steve, congrats! Big jake fan, that thing is giving me serious gas.
 
When does your trenchcoat and Chuck Taylor shoes arrive? You know you can't play a single riff on that thing until you don the ceremonial Jake-Wear and bust into the intro to "Lightning Strikes". :)
 
I just plugged it into my Cameron Aldrich into one of my cabs and the damn thing is humming like a sonofabitch. Missing gound for sure. Gotta take it apart to replace the bridge anyway, so I'll fix the grounding problem and put in an EVH zero friction pot as well - love those things!

Not sure about the scale length, but he used jumbo frets below the 12th or 15th or something like that, then had a smaller fretwire above that.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll have time to fix the grounding problem, so probably not. I'll have a couple of cool custom shop Charvel's though as well as my Suhr Henderson strat and my Suhr 7 string. I think Curt (Chubtone) is gonna bring his Charvel Custom Shop as well...
