Wow...

Just listened to a couple cd's for the 1000th time that Chris Snider sent me !!!
Jake had that Marshall raw tone hands down!
Great feel too!!
Is he a crack head now??
I heard he wasn't doing so well??

I listened to the cd in the store and to me the tone did not fit the song styles at all-way too much crunch and gain for the bluesy style of songs, IMO. I was wondering what he was up to as well. It seems as though he fell off the face of the Earth since Ozzy...Like he was blacklisted or something from the music biz.

From what I understand Jake has been offered the gig a couple times off and on over the years with Ozzy and always turned it down.

He put out the Cd ( Retraced ) a year or so ago , although it doesn't represent his signature style all that much. In fact I hardly realized it was his playing .

There have been stories going around that he has been using various substances over the years in excess , but who really knows what is really going on ?

Jake has always been a great inspiration on my playing , and I still listen to the Badlands stuff all the time .
