Jake E Lee interview

I had this on in the background while I was recording last night and want to give it a proper watch. From what I heard it was pretty great.

From what I did hear, Jake is just now starting to learn how respected he is in the metal world, never mind the guitar community. Perspective is a crazy fuckin’ thing, that dude has thought he’s been an afterthought this whole time.

Wow, so it was 2 young, scrawny punks that shot him. I did not know he has a titanium heel due to his previous injury of shattering it. Wow. He's had a lot of body issues, yet seems okay with it.

That part was kind of sad in a way... he really had no idea how much he was loved by not only Ozzy fans, but the guitar community in general. He really thought no one cared that much at all. Hell, I was even a little choked up by it.

Chris Jericho is doing something with Alex Van Halen. I know Jake and Al are in rough shape, but I'd love it if those guys did a record together.
That's the beauty of the studio...they can take their time and create something really incredible.
Calling Billy Sheehan. Mr. Billy Sheehan...

Jake was on his best behaviour here ... no real mud slinging like on ToneTalk haha .. he recount of the shooting is wild .. lucky to be alive.

I wonder if his comment about Sharon telling him to be at the dinner with Ozzy because "ozzy doesn't have much time left" will get any online traction .. make it sound like the family knew Oz was close to death ... regardless, the interview once again made me sad about everything around the show and Ozzy dying ... Love Jake

Yeah, definitely worth listening to. I wish the interviewer had asked him questions about songs other than BATM. Aside from that, it was a good interview.

That was a great interview. I wish they touched on badlands, but that was one of the better Jake interviews I’ve heard.

Ozzy had done an interview before the show and straight up said “I know I’m close to death” so I really don’t think it was a big secret.

I actually just watched another podcast last night, it’s Craig Gass the comedian and the bass player from Five Finger Fart Box, who is starting a career in comedy on the side. Another comedian friend of theirs was backstage at the Back To The Beginning show and let out a bunch more info- apparently Ozzy almost didn’t go on and they had every singer from the bands there prepared to go sing the tunes Ozzy sang. Then Ozzy was just going to do one song, but he wanted to keep going once he got onstage.

After the Ozzy set there was supposed to be a good intermission before Sabbath took the stage and everyone who was side stage went to a dressing room and just bawled after watching Ozzy perform, but they were still all thinking they were going to go sing with Sabbath, Hetfield, Maynard, Belladonna, etc, until they start hearing Sabbath playing onstage and realized Ozzy was actually powering through it.

It’s queued up here-

This has got to be one of the best interview ever.

Jake is a class act. The interviewer lets him speak.

Much respect to Jake❤️❤️❤️
