I'd say $1700 street price for these isn't bad at all. Some folks have wanted a Jake Charvel for years and now's the time and the price is reasonable for a US made guitar IMO. Sure, you could build one from Warmoth parts for less, but that applies to an awful lot of bolt-ons..
