Big Jake fan, but maybe he should turn down the next offer if all they have for him to play through is a Crate preamp into a Gorilla combo with a blown 8" speaker, although maybe he was drunk and didn't mind. :doh:

I would like to see him make a new solo album of some kind though, been a long time since the Badlands stuff.
 
considering the gear,..i think he sounds awesome,...lets HEAR any of you equal it with what he is using,...any like john lennon says,...maybe the big time isnt where its at,.....

Looks to me like he's using a nice old SG and the tone seems fine to me for a cell phone vid.

The bum notes throughout have nothing to do with gear. I'm not bagging on him, man I loved Jake, it's just not up to par.

Of course maybe he's just drunk. It's happened to me on more than one occasion. Thank God nobody cared! :D
 
pretty sure drummer is a female...I watched another vid and I'm fairly certain. And lulz to Jake not being up to pulling off Zakk licks...for realz? I've seen Jake back in the day an am still in awe of him.
