Taped last week...he's a guest on one episode and sits in on guitar on two others. Looks like he's playing the new sig model with the bridge P-90.

P-90's were a surprise to me 1st time i played a guitar with them, very crisp and edgy, great attack and ballsy. Cool choice, bet his tone through this mini-rig is blistering.

Damn those EVH heads are BIG.

Yes they are. Looked silly on my Marshall cabs , but fits perfectly on my Orange cabs. Easily my favorite high gainer out there

That's awesome. I've recently become a fan of the P90 pickup.

Jerry was there setting up the fiddles. He said it was awesome. Did he ask me to go? :gethim:

Me too! As a Savage fanboi, I picked up some humbucker size Bareknuckle Mississippi Queen P90s for my Huber Hollywood Krautster II and I'm really diggin' the tones...

Just picked up one of these as well... Should be here Friday  :

Git yer Johnny Thunders on

I gigged with my new Sweetwater blow-out Les Paul Special last weekend...what a ripping plank of P90 loaded mahogany! Might be the best $489 I ever spent.

LOL!

Beautiful guitar dude.

I'm seriously considering the dive into building a guitar. Not sure what yet but I'd love to have an Explorer or something closely resembling one with P90s.

Rockin'! I still think it should be an LP you build, but Explorers are cool too!

If I decide to go with an Explorer it will give me experience with the angled headstock style neck. Next up could be an LP! Obviously none of this is happening overnight but I'm really wanting to do a build or three.

Thanks for posting the pics ! Great to see Jake back in action. I could really do without the P90 in a strat though...go back to the humbucker Jake !

Super cool.....so glad to see him back in action.
Long over due.

I think Jake's style is a natural for the overdriven P90 sound.

What's with all this P90 talk from all you hard core humbucker guys? You all are getting old. ;)

I'm kidding of course. I've over the years been slowly gravitating away from humbucker tones. The first to go for me about 10 years ago was the neck humbucker... I much prefer singles or p90's there and now. I recently had a couple of EVH's and never used the neck by itself on those. I always split it wit the bridge. In the end that guitar just wasn't versatile enough for me. Now I'm playing a NF3 that has pups that all are like a P90. Totally like this guitar..... so yeah I'm getting old.

Cool see Jake back out and his guitar looks sweet!

I stopped over at JCFonline yesterday and I don't know who the user was, but it looks like there may be a Jake sig coming in the future.
