lol.

Only a fool would pay 5K for an amp...you gotta be kidding. At least wait to find a used one..2500 I can understand. Unless the 5k amp is something you can flip for more. I played through a Herbert once.. it was nice but not worth even 2K to me...gotta try this VH4 of which everyone speaks..

Nope. Disagree. Take the old stuff on the road. What are you saving it for? You may never go out again. Use them.

Do I understand correctly that someone is bagging on Diezel in this thread. I thought so, but it did not compute. That is just stupid. I've played a VH-4 and it's an incredible tone machine. Pricey? Sure. Would I buy one? Probably not because of the price, but I would never bag on them. They're incredible.

Agreed. Jake never went after Eddie tones.

OMG!!!

Getting headache after reading this. Did you know that Diezel amps are hand build in Germany?
And did you heard about something like shipping costs, taxes and want to earn a little bit. Did you ever asked what your Mexican/Vietnam 5153's cost in Europe? Not to mention USofA made amps like Mesa, Bogner, Friedman bla bla bla.....
You have to pay the price of a 4 channel Diezel to get a one channel Friedman.
I really like these amps but I won't pay the price.

I suppose you did play or own a Diezel once? Am I right?

Relax folks it's called Opinion or Taste.
I had an EVH 5150 III 50 watt, I got rid of it cause it sounded too Marshall, which is apparently not my preference in Amps.
I learned from using the AxeFX II that I like the 5153 Blue Channel, I like Diezels better.
I like Diezel Cabs, I like a Mix of V30 and something with more Bass and Treble.
Now my D-Moll and Diezel 4x12 with G12k100s and V30s in an X Pattern is true perfection, way better than my now sold EVH amp and way better than any JCM or Plexi.
But that is Better to ME. Many of my Favorite Guitarists are Marshall users... So the fact that I don't like Marshall for myself doesn't even make 100% sense.
But to my Ears, to my Taste, to my Opinion... Diezel is the Best.
Don't get mad if someone says EVH sucks, don't get mad cause some says Herbert's sound like doo doo... It's just different tastes. I tried a Rat Distortion pedal and thought ya'all must be crazy cause this thing sounds like poop at any volume. It's just a matter of taste. Relax...

Relax Brah.................wooooosaaaaaaaaaah

You read waaaay too much into my comment. Let me break it down, I didn't say I didn't like Diezel, nor did I say the cost wasn't justified. I love 'em, for what they do. Probably my next amp. That video was posted (I assume) to show they can do 80's metal as well as the br00tz. I didn't think that particular video portrayed that very well, especially when there are a million videos that feature a sub $1000 Marshall that nail it. It just sounded like a Diezel trying to hit the Marshall tone. That video wouldn't help the sale if your ready to spend $5K and are wondering if the Diezel can be versatile enough to do 80's metal. Then you switch the Youtube channel and see an old JCM800 with a $30 SD-1 nail it. And remember, as always, this is IMO.

Overall I like the 5153, but it shines more for me with the brootz on the red channel actually. If I was playing Jake's older material and wanted a modern production amp to take on the road and keep my vintage stuff home, while the blue channel on the EVH basically gets me there, I think I'd actually probably take a JVM instead.

I'm not sure if I really care about this...

I'm not sure why someone would post in a thread they don't care about. I know I sure don't.

Im not sure why threads like this keep happening? its not like the playing is so amaaazzziiinngg or the tone is to dieeee for…but like I said Im not sure…I could care about it, and I'm almost trying to..

Not sure why you have taken such an offense to me posting this. In some other threads some guys were wondering why he was using the 5150 and where his Marshalls were. I read this and thought Id pass on Jakes words that cleared up the speculation.

Like I said if a thread doesnt interest me I just dont read it let alone post in it.

Behind a keyboard on the internet...everyone is an expert or a tough guy.

Yeah, yeah. :)

Opinion is one thing, but to dismiss a maker/amp like Diezel as inaudible is silly.

It may not be your thing, but.....it's certainly a quality amp with useable tones.
