My take on some Jake riffs with my new MXR pedal. Also got some chugga chugga on the end of the vid for those of you into that.

Sounds good! I need me a VTM.

I hope you get a VTM! Thanks for the comment swamptrashstompboxes.

Nice! What speakers in the cab? I just picked up a Peavey VTM cab for 200 bucks...loaded with K85s. I've heard they are great sounding cheap cabs....I'm a believer. Killer cab for 3x the price.

K85's kick ass. I have eight of them. Both came from VTM cabs. If you are curious I recommend blending with vintage 30's.

This one has K85s and the cab was manufactured in 1990, just in case anyone was wondering. :)

I've owned both a VTM and Butcher cab and they both had K85s also. I ended up letting them go when I got my Marshall TV cab, which I rarely use.

Awesome as always!

Have you tried the custom bad ass with the 6505?
I am curious how it compares relative to other ODs with that amp

Thanks Ricky Rockhardo!

Actually I never use overdrives or boosts with my 6505+. Just straight in to the lead channel.

That sounded great!
More reason as to why the fuck would I pay high dollar for some modded brand X masterpiece when you can eclipse it with a few available inexpensive Marshall variants like the VTM's and a regular MXR pedal. Especially as most of us dial in one sound and use it 90% of the time. Not knocking people who do buy those amps. Just why the Fuck would I do it!

I get a similar affect with my Laney, 6 knob, Pro tube from the 80's and a pedal. Sounds as glorious as anything I have and it was budget priced to say the least.

I watched it maybe 20 years ago. Time to see it again.

Nice tones yet again from that beast of an amp. Amazing bang for your buck with those things!
