When I first heard it a couple of days ago I was on the fence about it. The vocal melody in the pre chorus is one of those weird ones that try to fit lyrics into but can't...but after a couple of listens it has really started to grow on me. Really looking forward to the album in a few weeks

Liked that much better than the first single. Very 90’s Badlands vibe. Overall the songs so far are much more raw and down to earth than the first RDC album.

I dig it.. some cool stuff going on here and that guitar sounds so juicy and dry like the later Badlands stuff. You can tell he is trying to go for a more stripped down in the room feel. What did we say the chain was again? Was this one of his Plexi's opened up pushed with his gi drive or OD-1 and then some type of fuzz/octavia running through a Fender or vintage tube amp?

The studio pics show him using a bunch of different amps: a jubilee, Orange, old Laney I think? There were quite a few

I agree about the Ozzy feel on that one. I need to listen again but could have sworn I heard an Alice in Chains feel when I listened before.

Not sure if it`s a Plexi but he records with his vintage amps so very possible

I’ve always loved Jake’s playing but his tone, not so much. I should love a guy who likes cranked non masters with a push at times but I find his tone always congested, like the treble and bass have been shelved. Not the big glorious wash of frequencies you get with a loud old Marshall etc. His tone sounds like an “intro” tone that will get bigger and brighter when the song kicks in, but it doesn’t change....lol

i like his chunky harmonic-ish rhythm in the begining but wasn't as impressed with the lead. I Liked his Ozzy and Badlands stuff.

He looks healthier now. Didn't he have some issues a few years ago and in a trailer park or something completely down on his luck? Glad to see he is back at it.

he has said recently that he uses scotch to help with back pain on tour ... not a good thing but I guess it is hat it is

+1 Very dry guitar sound...I guess he kinda does that.

Could do without the mouth cigarette, but at least he kept it to a minimum this time. Great track overall, smokes the last album.

All the band footage is just the first video under the lyrics
