the sass jordan snippet sounds exactly like I thought it would....would love to see jake do a whole album with her one day

I dug it, the first one on that radio show did sound a lot like he's ripping himself off (Or if you're Ozzy, ripping Ozzy off) with a very BATM sounding riff but I dig what I hear, probably gonna pick it up in January, hope he makes his way to the land of Salt and Honeys!
 
I was sooooo happy to hear that harmonic + behind the nut bend on Deceived similar to Thank God For the Bomb that I screamed "HELL YEAH" out loud. That sound is pure Jake and I'm happy to hear it again on a new song. So far I'm quite happy with what I'm hearing. It's not ground breaking and I'm glad it's not, it's pure Jake and it rocks!!
 
I dug, that apart from the BATM type riffing, not much of what I heard sounded like a full on 80's re-tread. Nothing against the 80's at all but it makes this release more appealing as a possibly, great rock record with no explicit genre to it.

I just thought maybe he wrote that song as a little statement regarding he probably wrote BATM and didn't get credit for it? I remember them making a comment about it on TMS when he was interviewed.
 
I'm definitely looking forward to hearing this. It sounds like Jake is back.

Ok listened to this now… I liked a lot of it! That riff to Slave was kick ass. To me they played the two weakest cuts on that radio show. Nice job, Jake!

Ya, very cool riff... Sounds very Megadeth-y to me
 
The singing kinda reminds me of Saigon Kick I will check it out later with better audio.
 
After listening to the Amazon clips I'm less interested.
I'll probably get it and dig the guitar work.
Not digging the songs or singer though... :aww:
 
I am a huge Badlands fan and I like what I hread on Amazon, but just not because it is Jake. It sounds good and I am looking forward to getting it.
 
Jake is one of my favourites. He still has that pick chirp going in the second (Sabbathy) track, much like when he played Paranoid in Ozzy.

As an aside, I just posted a link to a Sabbath-sounding song by John Norum in a different thread.
 
The new clip sounds pretty damn good!!! I will be picking this up for sure!!!
