James announced his pedal company has been acquired and he was hired as a principal analog design engineer for EVH amps at Fender

Wow thats awesome. I'm curious what the next 5150 or next amp he makes will sound like now. Did he ever release that prototype amp tweaker amp?

Im really looking forward to this. Sad that he is having health issues though. I prefer the 6505+ to the 5153 as far as gain channels. But the EVH clean is nice. Im sure he will do great things if they let him.

The announcement that I read also was pretty sad, it seemed like he was giving up his pedal company and moving to fender because of his health issues and the fact that he would get better health coverage under Fender. Regardless of where he is I hope his health improves!

Should be interesting to see what he brings to the table at EVH

Yeah its a sad statement on our healthcare system. Most of us are just one sickness from bankruptcy in the U.S.

James did state Fender came to him, he didn’t go to Fender. I agree though he’s been struggling with his health lately which we all know can put a real burden on new business. I’m glad he has potentially better health coverage and the opportunity to do amazing things with EVH amps. I’ve liked his ear for gain and his track record at peavey is nothing short of iconic.
