I dont get it either. whats wrong with that video? It was very tasteful. IMO it was pretty good
 
I think he got a lot of details in there... Like look at how he fingers the bar chords...
 
I thought it was a great tribute and don't see anything wrong with it at all. Props if he learned that left handed and is a righty....

I am thoroughly impressed! I seriously thought it was him in the beginning.

He says he never sent in the video:
"I made it to explore the character and explore creative possibilities. I never sent it to the studio or to anyone but thought I'd share it now."
 
I agree with this youtube comment:
I'm probably biggest Nirvana/Kurt Cobain fan and I honestly do not see anything wrong with this video. All Jared Leto is doing is paying respect to a great artist and it's no different than the people who post videos of themselves covering Nirvana songs. Of course he's not the "new Kurt Cobain." No one can, nor will ever be, because there was only one and unfortunately, he passed away 17 years ago. However, Jared Leto's tribute to him is really great and he doesn't deserve these rude comments.

Not knockin' Leto as I think the video is good but putting something on the internet that "will" get noticed is sending it to the studio ;)
 
I think its just that its wierd seeing a hollywood actor type playing cobain who was the opposite of industry dudes like that, so its kind of an oxymoron. He was probably doing it just to get his name thrown in the hat for the acting gig playing kurt, I could care less really , but anytime u try to compare yourself to someones idol people get all uptight.
