Just heard this for the first time and I will say first that I'm a big fan of Jason's guitar playing and liked his version with him putting his own spin on it with the added effects and all and it is an interesting take on Eddies playing of it ,but I did find that even as cool as Jason's version is that it did seem to lack Eddies overall feel and vibe. Just goes to show that even some of the greats can't play it with all the nuances like Eddie did.

For a shredder guy, he definitely had his own personality. I absolutely loved "a little ain't enough". That had to be DLR's best solo effort IMO.

Man. That was awesome. It stands on its own. Eddie gets out on far too much of a pedestal. Yes I love the original, but this was amazing I’m on its own right.

Plus, what was he 18/19 at this stage? Just a phenom. The biggest what if in the guitar world. I don’t have questions about Hendrix dying young for example, he did what he was going to do. I often wonder what Jason would have become if once he matured as a song writer.

19 putting that out there without YouTube or shit even the Internet for that matter is nuts. That’s next level talent. The sweep arpeggio intro is insane and unique. Eddie was a phenomenal writer but Becker is just a next level composer.

Yes to all. Savant level talent at such a young age with no internet. Lots of Vai in his style - but with such a sense of fun and reckless abandon. The thought of being able to plug in and that's what comes out... wow.
