its the camera. Check out when the cameraman points at the cymbals....at that distance the brightness of the cymbals should be A LOT more than that....... just a crappy camera mic.

umm just realized...is it really on?! can't see the blue light whereas the VH4 below is on :P

You can't really tell wich amp is on in the video...At least, I can't tell. It would make good sense that he comparing the VH4 and Hagen back and forth...That's what I would be doing anyways.

And knowing james' history with his rigs, he's not gonna change the VH4 rig just like that.... He'll test, test and test the Hagen. If he decides to use the Hagen he'll incorporate it in the next album and possibly next tour, but not right now.

He uses Diezel AND MESA..... You're not gonna get James' tone out of a Diezel only.

It's cool that he uses Diezel. Probably my favorite thing about Metallica right now..
  ..... Ya that about sums up my like for Metallica as well. But I will give 'em props for driving home the brootz from days gone by. I mean, Ride the Lightning really kick started my love for tight, straight up metal.

I saw Kirk in the latest "Guitar Aficionado" magazine that I flipped through. Hanging on his Oahu ranch playing a rosewood Tele through a vintage Fender amp, surfing, hanging... I guess the lads did well no doubt about it. No harm in enjoying the fruits of one's labours.

Peace,
Mo

Sorry to piss on your party - this is just a reminder why I personally think metallica absolutely sucks!

They suck no matter WTF they are playing through...

Hagen purgatory... It landed in f*ckin' Kentucky today and still has to make it's way to Montreal where my distributor is, then out west to BC.

I've been ominously silent due to the fact I'm been feeling a bit crusty lately... :gethim:
