As stated, I play with the mid around 6, Bass at 5 (noon), presence 6, treb 6... 500pf bright cap. Usually play with master on 2-3. I'm noticing as of late that i have a tad more high end on the high lead notes than I like. I'm already altering my picking style as i pick too close to the bridge on LP's and it results in a few too many pinched highs (with thicker picks) but it is finding that happy medium between my rythm settings (i like crunch) and lead settings (like it to be a bit smoother) that is tricky. I think the first step is making sure you play dead on to your speaker so that you know what the audience would be hearing. Step 2 is knowing your guitar and pups. Step 3 is settings at lower and higher volume.
