Got any pics of it?
Nope, she's back to her rightful owner. Just waiting to hear what he says as to how it sounds ;)

Damn dude, thats like 3hrs north of the big city ! Some good powder thou... Always wanted to go back in the summer. You have to be the only guitarist up there
Not a chance man, there's a pretty cool music scene up here - everyone and their dog jams, but just not so much into the tech-jam that I'm into. There's no real studio here in town, outside of that of the dude from ColdPlay who's got a place here with a recording studio, and a few big names from LA who own homes with studios - they're not for 'public consumption'. Gene Simmons owns up here too but it's just a vacation property, nothing major. But it's a funky lil' town man. Population of 'true' residents is 16,000 give or take, and on any given day in the winter, we get 100,000 tourists

2 hours from Vancouver. Just fine by me. I'd never live in the city - I'm a mountain man (and, granted, a surfing nut too).

Ventura, where do you live? anywhere near Seattle? Do you work on amps for a living? Always looking for a good amp tech.
There's a really good tech in Gig Harbor, WA; he bails me out when I get in over my head.

2 hours up the roads in winter. Geez dude what are you drifting to get up there that quick. ;)

When I was there some 12 years ago the place was packed. I came up with my cousin, that lives in Vancouver, who is a powder nut. We got up there just after a fresh 8" base and carved some serious lines. I had an absolute blast. Absolutely beautiful area, and reminded me of Tahoe where I spent many a summer.

Seriously man, after the 2010 Olympics the highway's been totally revamped, super quick for 4 lanes. Lots has changed since you were up 12 years ago. It's close to the city - and ya, granted, I drive fast, but that's just the way I am

Anyway - cool place to be and helluva lifestyle. And obviously there's at least ONE other guy out there with an amp (my friend's JCM that I worked on)

Lot's of amps can get a Marshall type sound .... But there is something about the fur and roar of the old ones.
Yup!

And yep just today me and the amp tech guy at the music shop were chatting about how some JCM 800s have four inputs than just two.

I don't work on 'em for a living, but it seems I'm getting more an more 'work' coming through my house every month... I'm not a true tech, just a gearwhore with a penchant for details and technical understanding. I'm up in Whistler, so not too far!! Lemme know what ya need - PM is fine.

Peace

Same thing here. I haven't gotten a good deal of repair work over the past few months, but I don't consider myself an amp tech. I did work on a 2 channel JCM800 combo a few months ago. Just needed new tubes and the pots cleaned. Good sounding amp, in spite of the G12M70 speaker in the combo. First JCM800 amp I had ever played, so that was cool.
