he's using a Marshall DSL100H as one of his main amps. These sell for less than $1k on eBay. He uses rapco cables as well which are really cheap. Minimal effects. It's all in the hands...

I'm not sure if his is the made in UK or made in vietnam (like mine which is ok for metal, not much else afaict) but running in triode is strange. Even Mesa RK II got rid of the triode mode that was available in RK I.

I run my Splawn at half power. I don't have anything squishy going on.

Maybe true. But it's obvious there's nothing wrong with the equipment he uses either. He just knows how to use it.

But seriously, when I watched the vid I kept thinking damn, they should have cleaned up his guitars a bit first
