Jeff Loomis is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

This from a Marshall expo or something? I've never known Loomis to use Marshall anything really. Unless his live rig is different from his studio rig. Who knows. The guy can play like no one's business. That mic looks like it's there to capture the sound of his hand movements.
 
That's funny, I was listening to Zero Order Phase in the car today. :D Loomis is a solid player for sure. :rock:
 
I'd love to hear what he's doing, but it's one big mess of sound on that video.
You can barely make out anything he's doing.
 
Loomis is the shit. I just discovered Nevermore a couple of years ago. That boys right hand is incredible.

Yes but his left hand is super strong and dexterous...imo its the left (fretting hand) that makes it or breaks it. The right hand makes the artist but the left hand makes the virtuoso. :D
 
That`s a vid from his clinic at our local music store here in Hanover, Germany. Don`t know what Amps he was using, but at Festivals here in Europe he usually uses the supplied backline. I`ve seen him play through Rectifiers, ENGLs, Marshalls etc... In the US he`s used a POD XT Live but I think he`s switched to the AXE-FX Ultra.

As for the song he`s playing: It`s "The Obsidian Conspiracy", the title track off of their latest album. The limited edition pack comes with a backing track, the tabs and the instructional vid for that song as well as another one called "Your Poison Throne". Pretty cool, I´m just to lazy to practice and I don`t have a seven string gitfiddle. :cheers:
