Sounds good to me, especially for the money

That $1,450 shipped price has sailed. I’m guessing it will be $2,500. He can’t sustain a business on that price being hand built.

It seriously is a killer amp. I haven’t pulled the chassis but the other guy shots I’ve seen, the work looks damn clean as well.

Yeah it punches above the price point for sure. Had an onboard stepped Variac as well.

Just confirmed from the man himself, $1699 + shipping is the new price. Not too bad for a hand built US made amp.

Sounds killer!
That is a great deal, even with the increase

I lived down the rode from him... we both worked for the Air Force until a few months ago.. nice guy and very fair on pricing.

Never heard back from him. I tried contacting him through his website 2-3 times over a two/three week period back when he had the Reverb add up. I'd have pulled the trigger on the spot as I was in full GAS mode at the time.

Edit:
Apparently, James, the man behind Armored amps, has been having issues with the website contact feature and has not received messages sent through his website. I called his number from the site and had a great conversation. Very willing to answer all my questions on the phone and was very responsive later that same day by email.

That is crushing sounding, can't wait for the mic'd up demo. :) Dude should have had you demo this thing, that vid blows away the others.

This amp rips though.

I'm liking what I hear. It does rip. Simple and effective.

You just moved and you are making clips. Props.

Hey, appreciate that! Trying to get the full vid up before the weekend. I may break it into 2 parts. One for passives, one for active and 7 string.

So many amps nowadays.. I can't keep up. But it sounds good.

 Hey everyone! My name is James. I am the builder behind the Sabot. First and foremost, thank you all for the kind words on the Sabot. It really is a piece of me. I saw it mentioned that is was a Jose or Cameron clone. I wanted to make sure I spoke to that. It is no where close to the circuit. It's it's own thing and with the adjustments and switching made in the amp you can achieve a multitude of tones. It does have a switchable option for a Jose style clipping circuit that can be introduced. Just an option for you guys.
If you have been trying to reach me, please reach out at 229-561-5563. I am having some technical difficulties with my Web host.

I'm going to try my absolute best to keep these as affordable as possible while still giving the highest possible quality that I can. $1,699 is about as fair as I can be.

Lastly I have had a few ask about the internal construction. We use our custom hybrid turret boards for the Sabot. It offers all the benefits of a turret board but quieter woth the use of a single point ground plane. I am also aware many people like mod ding like myself, so the Sabot is designed to be super mod friendly. We even sell mod modules for you to do yourself. Everything from on board boosts, noise gates, B+ variac sag control, Jose clipping modules, phoenix clipping module, and many more.

Thanks everyone, and if you have any questions or wish to place an order, give me a call. Thanks!

Man I am getting some good recorded tones for the demo. Getting some drum tracks together for some full mixes.

Hey man! Glad you found your way here. You’ll definitely be able to answer questions about the amp better than me.
