Unless he was on his way to the studio, why in the hell would that thing just be sitting in the back seat of his car? Sounds like he was making a few stops since they are not sure where it was swiped from. Hopefully it turns up soon, and whoever took it promptly loses a few fingers.

It's funny to think that thieves likely just smashed and grabbed or he left the car open and they grabbed it and he didn't notice while making stops. They likely don't know what they have, and the pawn shop will see it as a cool " replica" if they even know what it is so it might sell for 800$ lol. Anyone who buys it and realizes what it is will likely never give it back and keep it hanging on a wall.

People are stupid as fuck. So my other profession I have a repossession company that picks up rent to own utility trailers and sheds; if the party doesn’t get the trailer within 5 days of repo, all items in the trailer are forfeited. That’s in the contract. Before the lawyers pop in; we keep states that this works. Anyway the other day a trailer (rent to own) came in with over 60k
dollars of sounds system equipment. I swallowed my tongue and hoped this dumb ass would do the forfeit. Not a chance; last last hour he paid the whole trailer contract off. Stupid person has a trailer filled with shit 15x the amount of the trailer and it’s on rent to own. 2) said stupid guy.. keeps the equipment ready to drive off clearly as we took it per the contract. 3) he has the money to pay for it outright but elects to pay 2-1/2 x the Amt over time. I really wanted his line arrays and wireless mics.

This will pop up on Craigslist, so you Cali guys keep an eye out. I doubt the idiot would put it on Reverb or Ebay...but, thieves are idiots so....

Not that Jerry needs the $, but it would be interesting to see how his insurance company values the guitar.
