Jet City JCA50H For Modern Metal?

Have been reading up on the Jet City JCA50H and was wondering current and previous owners thoughts on it or have used it for modern metal?

Mine is BFG modded. I bought it new and had it sent directly to Brian.......so I have never heard one stock. However, it does a spectacular job at modern metal IMO. I had some initial problems, but Brian sorted it out quickly. I have since sold off my EVH 50watter because I prefer the JCA50. The loop is a bit sketchy, but it works well with the MXR Carbon Copy........but most pedals not so much.

Sorry to bump an old thread but just came across this guy's videos on YouTube of the Jet City JCA50H, sounds really good!! I think I might just go ahead and see if I can find one used if I can. I already have a stock Boss SD-1 but have been thinking of getting a Boss 7-band EQ * ISP Decimator pedals too

Is the JCA50H still punchy enough for low volume bedroom practice/recording?

Its good for high and low volume playing. Its fine for modern metal. My JCA100HDM likes my baritone a lot, FWIW.

For what it's worth, Avenged Sevenfold's rhythm guitarist used a JCA50H, and now uses an HDM
