These amps are getting so cheap it's silly. I might have to check one out. I like the head clips but dislike there is no loop. I don't like bone dry tones, I like at least a splash of reverb. The combo has reverb at least, but is it worth going for a combo to get the reverb? How is the speaker? Is it the same amp as the head version? I could get the head and add a Metro loop I guess?

Get the head used and have one of the mod gods mod it!
Jerry/Surreal-Mark Friedman-Jerry/FJA, etc.....

Or wait a couple of weeks for the JCA22h to hit, 2 channels of crunchy goodness, loop, ect.

It's the most awesome amp you'll find for such a stupid price.

Like tweed said, the 22h will be out soon and it sports a second channel and a loop. The speaker on it is a custom Eminence and it sounds great. Built like a brick wall, I love mine.

if the loop is important to you i'd just wait until the 22h comes out. i'm really happy with my 2112 rc. the reverb isn't on par with a bf fender.. but then again.. i don't need it to be.

Question for the current JC users: does the JCA20H have a tone all its own, or is it more hotrod Marshally? I'd pick one up when the 22 comes out, but if it's more Marshall than anything unique, it might be too redundant with what I get out of the Stiletto.

I would love a little head and 1x12 cab though, to leave at my drummer's house.

from comments i've read it's more along the lines of the astroverb 16. to my ears.. it doesn't have the upper mid focus of a marshall. it's a bit darker than that.. but still quite useable.. and good.

Any official date on this? I played the JCA20 and really liked it but I do need a loop.

i love my JCA20H...its the crunch sound ive been looking for in my head for a while (which i thought was marshall but apparently its not)
im not fussed with a loop as i feel they affect the overall tone + i have another amp that i use for clean/lead with an fx loop. the jca is just for one sound with the ability to clean up with the guitars volume knob.

i did get a chance to play a soldano hot rod 50 and it owned my soul...but these rarely pop up for sale/or are too much $$$...so im investigating the JCA50H

ive got a few JCA clips in my sig if anyones interested.

20H - stock

100H - a bit modded though

Expect to buy new power tubes and get a bias tool (if you shouldn't know how to DIY that). The built-quality is nice for the price, the boards are well made, the parts are pretty good for the price. Soundwise all of them (so far) are 80s amps, so don't expect modern stuff like crystal cleans (the 20H only can do clean when you crank the master and keep the gain low) without modding them. Additionally the 50H and 100H have loops which are also pretty oldschool, their level and location in the circuitry are not state of the art anymore, but lots of guys can live with that of course.

The 20H is like the Atomic, the 50H/100H are almost 100% HotRod+ "factory-clones".

I wanted to like the 20watt combo but i didnt like it at all, I couldnt crank it up because the music store was lame so that might be why i didnt like it

I watched one end at 799 with no bids last week.
The Jet City combo version is supposed to have less gain than the head, more of a vintage vibe from what I've read.

Interesting about the 22h. I was going to get the 20W combo for my practice amp, in part for the spring verb. I ended up getting a slightly used Traynor from my local dude instead, which is an absolute monster.

Still, something about these Jet City combos. ...they just cry "dime me." I don't care how dry it is, it sounds like it blows the dresses off young girls when you crank it.

Or maybe it's like Chappers said on youtube, the 333 is for "tone, wisdom, and cheeseburgers." It just has some mystical pull.

I might need a head though. I think I'm sitting on top of too many speakers as it is.

if olaf says the 20 watter is like the atomic i'd take his word for it. fwiw.. it seems that there's a six to eight week lag between the announcement and when the product pops up on sites like mf.
i'm waiting for the flood analog delay to pop up.
i'm building a pedalboard rig out of gear i've got sitting around out of economic necessity. the jc shockwave distortion is also on my board. it made the cut. others didn't.
