How about a smaller format JJ/Slax similar to the PT, Runt 20 and Mini Shirley? Smaller platform with either the 2nd or 3rd channel of the Slax in it would be amazing! I'm a dreamer, now carry on guys..lol.

I was dreaming that same dream about a year ago lol...

Oh heck yeah. Sign me up for that one.

Simple clean channel + footswitchable JJ BE/JBE channel in a compact combo so I don't need to carry my head and cab around. Pleeeeease.

Or

Simple clean channel + Butterslax Ch2 with footswitchable diode(SAT) on/off

I'll take either one.

Hi,
I would still prefer to be in for the full 100 watt head. It will simply replicate the sound of the artists better.

By taking a look at my original post, I still think it is a great idea:
Take the JJ with the Butterslax knob layout
a. leave clean as is (JJ Clean)
b. JJ channel as is incl. JBE switch
c. add the third channel of the Butterslax (extra gainstage, different voicing), Gain and Master controls
d. add a diode switch to remove the diode clipping for channel 3 (which will give you kind of a HBE, I guess)
e. make the extra Gainstage in channel 3 switchable (which will give you "BE/JBE" in channels 2 and 3
The only drawback I see that there is no overall master in this setting.
If I may add one thing: Make the loop switchable.

@Dave: What about a JBS :-)
Greetings, Ulf

I like

Channel 1 = JJ clean (or Buxom Betty clean channel <--- I like that)
Channel 2 = JJ channel with BE/JBE footswitching and boost volume for JBE mode
Channel 3 = Butterslax channel 3 with footswitchable diodes and boost volume for diodes
Global master
Footswitchable Loop

Yup, I'd buy that.

But that doesn't change the fact that I would also buy a DS mini or PT20 sized combo based on the JJ or Butterslax. I don't want to lug around a head and cab all the time. Just makes sense to offer one of these in a grab and go practice amp.
