Hi,
Had a question for Dave. I was setting up my JJ through a new cab that is an 8 ohm. I usually run a 16 ohm cab. When I went to switch the impedance, the knob just spins and does not click. This is the first time I have switched it. Does the knob have to be replaced ? I am not the original Owner so who knows what was done before. Just seems odd never had that problem before.

Does it have the same knob as the SmallBox? A few of us are having the same problem.

Hi, yes it's the same knob. It just spins makes 2 clicks every once in awhile, then keeps spinning. I don't even know what Impedance it's in now. So I am not going to play it till I can figure a way to fix it.

Loosen the set screw, remove the knob and turn it by hand or with some pliers. Click to where you know it's on 4 or 16 and put a line on it with a marker so you can always tell where it's set. Or just tighten the set screw and see if it holds.

Thank you will try it. I'm hoping there is a fix to this soon, would prefer to have the knob working properly.

Just replaced the two back knobs with some Marshall Gold Tops. Works like a champ now. Those OEM Knobs are to weak for that switch.

Hmm, I think I have a few of those in a drawer somewhere. I'll give that a try when I get a chance. Thanks!

I'm surprised Dave hasn't chimed in to help with this.

It's the knob. We are sourcing new ones for the impedance position.
