Just got it all back together today. Had tons of fun doing this and looking for another to get started on soon.

Started with a San Dimas natural ash guitar. I sanded the body down because there is some sort of light finish applied from the factory. After that I stained the body edges black, and painted the middle white.
Next step was to choose and apply the clip art. It’s transferred on using a transfer medium. You can watch YouTube vids on how to do it. Then you just get old paint brushes and beat the paint on. I think the term is pouncing. It’s quite a few layers to get the rusty old weathered look. Again, YouTube is your friend. I practiced on some scrap wood for about a week building up the courage to start on the real thing.
