Safe? You mean like health issues no doctor can connect to glyphosate?

What, you have leukemia? Just unlucky I guess.

How about Atrazine, which is used more than glyphosate? Safe as well I guess? What about both?

They accumulate in the body.

Safe as in people spraying weeds in their yard is very very safe. As with most things, misuse can be dangerous, but that is someone’s fault not the product.
I ended up dropping my pesticide license because I was tired of the dipshits complaining their dogs and kids got sick from spot spraying weeds. That just isn’t a thing.

It’s dangerous because crops have been modified to be resistant to roundup, thus allowing farmers to douse them in roundup. That is why it’s in the food people eat and over time it can build up.

Most household cleaners are far more dangerous than round up, the only difference is that agriculture isn’t slowly dosing us with windex.

Would you consider soaking wheat and sugar cane to dry and kill it before harvesting "normal usage"?
No. That’s why I mentioned round up ready crops dumbass

So, you are agreeing that all the bread and pastries that are sold in the US are unsafe?
I wouldn’t say “all” are unsafe.
I did already call it garbage though.

I feel comfortable with “unnecessarily potentially dangerous”
But that is our fault for wanting cheap agriculture

I am pretty sure they got sued by people who were spraying round-up for the resulting negative health affects five or six years ago and lost.

If American consumers want to foot the bill to pay non immigrant workers to hand weed miles of farmland we have that option,
However most just want cheap shit and also complain about it

I CSA with a local farm, I don't see how the migrant issue is of any consequence.

The verdict is still out on it mostly. It’s great because it’s really safe to use, but dangerous because it’s so safe to use that people are careless with it

I was commenting on the price of the goods being more expensive sans roundup, which means we would have to pay for manual labor.
Non migrant labor costs more than migrant labor, hence the cost will be passed on to the consumer. Simple stuff bro

I understand the concept, but it doesn't have to be that way.

If you know a way to keep wheat pesticide free and still cheap you should probably do something about it. You would probably make an absolute fortune off of it

That's easy, grow it yourself. Or, buy it locally grown.

Not sure either of those are cheaper than the grocery store.
Also not feasible for large parts of the country and its residents

Agreed, but you are willing to possibly get cancer or some other mystery illness just to save a few dollars at the grocery store?

People need to wise up.

That’s why it sucks. The only options shouldn’t be to eat massed produced garbage, or learn to grow and process wheat to make your own flour, in the event you even have space and equipment to do so, which most do not
