About time - says one of the biggest Lizzy supporters.

I'm more looking forward to new stuff from John than another tour.

John Was on the Eddie Trunk Radio show a month ago and he said that a Blue Murder re-union was definitely in the works with the original members. Eddie was ribbing him a bit kind of hinting that will it really happen and John sounded extremely sincere that it will. I'll be in front row if it does come together!!

Now all I have to do is get Kings X to open for them and I have 2 of the 3 from the best show I ever saw!

I also heard the same thing about 9 months ago, when John was interviewed. But he actually said that the chances of having himself, Tony Franklin and Carmine Appice doing the Blue Murder stuff wasnt too likely to happen. He said that Tony works for Fender and spends almost all year touring doing clinics.. so he may not be able to get the time out to tour. He also said that he had problems with Carmine Appice in the past, so he probably wouldnt be involved in a Blue Murder tour.

John did say that IF there's going to be a Blue Murder tour, it will most likely be himself, Marco Mendoza and Simon Phillips instead!

Either way, im happy with either lineup :D   And if they come to the UK, i will most likely make it to as many shows as i can!!

Sup brother!
He did mention that as well but on the Trunk show he said that he was speaking to Tony and Carmine. He also mentioned that Tony had a lot of obligations with Fender but he was determined to make it work.
To be honest with you, I just hope that he gets something going again either with the original band or with Marco and simon!
:rawk:

I figured something like that was coming...when Gorham was on TMS he barely mentioned JS. I saw TL with JS singing and it was killer even though some think it was sacrilege. I dug it and Tommy Aldridge kicked huge amounts of ass as well.

Looking forward to a Blue Murder reunion but can't imagine it being with Carmine and Tony. I have heard Sykes say some pretty nasty stuff about Carmine in the past. All in all, I think it is better that Sykes is doing Blue Murder since that is basically him all the way.

No more Lizzy live then, I guess... Unless Scott calls Robbo, and gets a bass player and singer. But to tour as Thin Lizzy with one person who was an actual member of the band.. :D

Oh man, Ill be right next to ya!!!

I love Thin Lizzy and I love Blue Murder. Thing is John needs to be giving us new music. JS needs to be writing and recording new killer guitar oriented rock as opposed to playing 30 year old songs. TL was cool for a tour or two but I think JS still has a lot of smokin guitar playing to give us and I hope it's in the form of Blue Murder.

+1 love em both, I cant wait!!

JS needs to be in Whitesnake
actually that should be Whitesnake needs JS
but there 'aint no chance of that happening as the clash of egos
would cause a plate shift

what a formidable talent that man is
he's not humble, but I forgive him that as nobody's perfect

live Lizzy with John were excellent too
he's a hell of a singer and I liked his Lynott style
though it was very respectful, and he really can only play one way,
so it was bound to be heavier

Blue Murder were tremendous, so I can only welcome their return
I feel Tony Franklin's fretless sound was a big part of the feel
The Simon Philips rumour is a good one, and Toto may be nearing
extinction

He needs a good producer as the solo discs were pretty weak sounding
with too much verb and delay on the guitars IMHO

I didn`t see it, but I`ve heard from several places that there`s been too much of something...

To bad man, because he did a great job. The One Night Only gig, was great and I would have liked the chance to see it, but oh well.

Blue Murder it is.
