Sykes is one of my favorites. Doesn't get the credit he deserves.

I saw Sykes whit Thin Lizzy last year, great show.

Love his playing and he always has a smile on his face, you can see he loves what he does. :D

I saw that Blue Murder tour in Houston, what, in '89?

My SECOND favorite part of that show (the first being the killer band) was the way Sykes would hock a giant loogie onto the side fill monitors after just about every song.

That ruled.

It's so good to see that so many people appreciate Sykes. Here is my sad tale. He and Blue Murder were touring with Billy Squire and Kings X had to be late eighties early nineties, can't remmember. I bought my ticket so excited because I loved Blue Murder and Whitesnake. Turns out it was their last date on the tour and they dropped off one show early and weren't there after it was all over the radio for weeks before that they were coming. I was pissed but the bootlegs help me get over it. Thanks.

That cold sweat vid kills. Sykes tone is huge compared to Scott's. Ya I saw them with Kings X and they blew away Billy....Sykes tone and singing and the killer vocals and writing from Kings X! Memories!

I wish I appreciated Kings X more that night. I just wasn't familiar with them at the time and just basically pissed over Blue Murder. Glad you got to see them back in the day though.

Great player! I love his main fiddle (Les Paul Custom, I think)! Too bad the Gibson reissue was way overpriced.
