Ya, they look good, but I've been underwhelmed everytime I play one. And there is no reason to have that huge block extending several frets out of the actual neck-joint. If they played half as good as they look they would be worth half what they cost.

That one played better than most guitars I've played in some time. The block on the neck heel is easier to get around than the neck heel of a Charvel for me. And do you want to compare the playability of the average PRS to the average Gibson? No contest..PRS wins everytime. FWIW, i don't currently own a PRS.

For the most part, I agree. But I have played some that were really cool, too. But I'm used to adjusting to diff guitars, all of my guitars feel different. I could see getting a nice PRS at some point down the line though I have no real need for one
I want to like the SC stuff and you can score them at a good price used, I like their design far better than gibson's boat heel and rip spreader backs.

PLus, you gotta like the fact that the SC is like a huge middle finger that got shoved right up Gibson's ass. The entire industry was backing PRS in that fight.
Easiest playing guitar I own is my '95 Cu22 Quilt 10 top. It's semi hollow/chambered (no nerdy f-holes) so it's super light - around 6 pounds, and the fretwork/neck is perfect.
Only 'bad' thing is that because of the chambering it has more compression than my other guitars, so it feels 'soft' for hard rock/metal. But it kills for classic rock/blues. I've owned 5 PRS, it was my favorite. Also had a '91, and I think all the 'pre factory' hype is BS. All 5 were nice guitars, the '95 just spoke to me. I may be getting another one soon.
