JSX/XXX 2 or 6505+ ... Answer is ?

so just looking for all your welcoming thoughts on this dilemma... ya i know play em both, well if there were real music stores that said they were a dealer and actually carried them...I would
 
this is the tone i hear but cannot afford that route i was told peavey can get me there !


 
I have owned them all and while I am a 5150/6505 man for the heavy stuff, the JSX is just so much more versatile. The clean channel is FENDER clean. No grit to speak of at all. I love my JSX to death.
 
6505+ The JSX has some great cleans for sure but not the grind of the 6505's Just a great amp.
 
6505+ this thing is a brute ive only got the 6505+ combo and have tried running boosts through it and it just F*cks up the great massively tight and the tone is just plain vicious, no need for a boost.. My Chinese made 6505+ sounds killer so if you get the head i wouldnt even wager a guess on how badass that could be!

JSX/XXX2 all day long.

Both are great amps, the JSX/XXX2 has all of the gain you could dream to use, more responsive controls as the EQ is active, and is more versatile.

Just ordered a new Peavey XXX 2 Today... yea i could have bought the jsx but i like the new cosmetics and Dont care for satch being on my amp...6L6 tubes will be first !

The new design looks much better for sure. Love the pointer dials too.
Please post some close ups of the amp when you get it. I'd like to see the fit and finish, materials used, and so on...

Vids/clips required soon as the XXXII arrives!

Swap out those stock EL34 tubes for at least KT77s/6ca7s (if not just getting 6L6s) too, ear canal nirvana times infinity!

I've had both the JSX and 6505+ and dig them both and gigged them both for a long time. For me and what I like, I slightly preferred the 6505+. While the JSX was more versatile, I dug the gain tones of the 6505+ a little more. Seemed to have more OOOMPHHH to me, but I could get a killer tone out of either.
 
So I couldn't decide so I went with option c = both

I was going to say regular 6505 until i saw that XXX2 clip. Very impressed with the sound of that...
