This sound makes me want to sell everything and buy a 20th XTC.

I just came across this the other day and wow what an amazing tone!

You can't go wrong with an XTC. It's a killer amp  I had one for many years.
I sold it to Dave Z. so I still get to play it on retube:-)

Cool Mike! You ever work your magic on a 101b? :D

I am really liking mine. I sold my Vh4 to get it. It's not nearly as tight and defined as the Diezel but I don't mind. The tone is very thick and juicy!

I have done some. I try to just add on thing that can be bypassed so the original stock tones are still there. Here's a few pics of one that I did some things to:

Pre and Post 2004 Red channel mod on the front below the input jack.....

XTC_Mod_4.jpg

Plexi function out on the footswitch........

XTC_Mod_3.jpg

Push Pull Treble Pot that takes it from stock to scooped mids for a different clean voicing....

XTC_Mod_1.jpg

Assignable Saturation switch for the Blue or Red or Both channels.....

Cheers,
Mike

My 20th XTC is, by a mile, the single best gear acquisition I've ever made. Ever.

Sounds meaty! I had a 101A with 6L6s.

I still dig the older look of them with the black panels and metal grille.

Cheers,
Mike
