At one point, didn't ESP make some really good Les Paul knockoffs? I seem to remember George Lynch with what looked like a faded 59 burst, but it was actually an ESP.

They don't still do those do they??

As far as I know they still have a full line of knockoffs but can only sell them in Japan. They pop up on ebay from time to time.

How about Jackson Brad? Any plans to pick them up as a dealer?

Is te eclipse really that much better then the cheaper ltd models??

Get that floyd Eclipse in normal thickness, block inlays, and LP pot layout and you will sell a ton.

Already have an email in to see if I can get the Eclipses in full body thickness and 4 knob lay out. We will see... ;)

If they give you a hard time point out that Drum City is selling the export models with four knob and full thickness body. ESP is really weird about that four knob layout because of Gibson.

Used to live in Japan, a few hours away from the ESP Custom Shop in Sapporo. Some nice stuff going on over there!

Haven't tried the ESP version yet, but I totally dig the LTD Phoenix 1000 which is a modernized Firebird style. Might be pickin one up next week!

Great stuff Brad!!!! ESPs are really great guitars for the price!!!

Just got off the phone with ESP and they will do a special run for me of Full Thickness Eclipse II's .

That guitar will kill especially with a Floyd!

I am waitiing on pricing now, no obligation but if you have any interest in such a guitar post up in the thread.

When the time comes I will be contacting you on one of these

i think a stripped down esp eclipse II with no fancy binding one volume and a unfinshed maple neck would be awesome...especially with the floyd. I dont care for the sparkly binding on the black ones with floyds. It would also be nice to have a 25.5 neck.

Oh you betcha...

Would be curious about the price with and without Floyd.

I'd buy a full thickness Eclipse, but I would want it to be stop tail...

I just don't buy any floyds anymore...I'm like my tuning stability more than whammy madness...

Gotta be in a cool color as well...some of their new colors shown at Namm were just a lil goofy and not so nice...

As for you gettin' ESP...Very cool.
I love the M-1 I just received recently...the Extra Thin U Neck contour is now one of my favorites on any guitar I've ever owned or played...Just so easy to play...
If you could get that neck shape on a full Thickness Eclipse...that would be outstanding!

Oh and to those who inquire about the difference between LTD and ESP...

It's all about quality of wood choices and tonality...
I've bought 4 LTD's in the last year, and they were all crap, compared to the Standard series ESP. They were either toneless, or felt just wrong, thin sounding, or had really cheap crappy parts on them that did not last. I sold them all and will not buy any more LTD's again. I have the ESP Viper and M-1, and they are both amazing playing and sounding guitars. I also owned an Eclipse II, but I really missed out on the Full Thickness tone of the wood (compared to my Les Pauls, it seemed too Thin, and bright sounding).
I would imagine a Custom shop would be even better.

Brad, are you going to do the Edwards and Navigator lines as well, or is that not something that can be sold here?

I helped Alex design that guitar. The prototype is killer, and the production ones will be tooooooo

Awesome! Played an ESP SV-1 at Guitar center that came up in the used section. Absolutely one of my favorite playing guitars of all time. The thing was just SICK! I NEED to get one asap! It just straight up ruled, fast as hell, top notch quality. Had EMG's, but sounded better and felt better than ANY EMG loaded guitar I've played, sounded freakin AWESOME! What is the difference between the ESP SV-1 and 2?
