I've always liked the look of these but in the pics, the body always looked really big. I know MM guitars play great cause I've owned 2 but I was also a bit afraid of the trem (I'm a Floyd guy). However today i was in Sam Ash and they had one so I played it. this guitar played like a dream and is lightweight and versatile and the trem actually stayed in tune.
I didn't buy that one instead I came home a bought the exact same guitar used off of TGP.

I had pretty much decided before this that I was done with production guitars and I was about to have Kiesel build me another one.this one changed my mind. can't wait till it arrives

That's a killer colour! Nice one.
I had a very similar experience with MusicMan guitars. Tried a couple during a visit to a local guitar store (my first time playing a MM). I was totally bowled over by the Luke III model. Went home and ordered one that same afternoon.

I have one in the same color. Very comfortable guitar that looks like it would sound thin and plinky but, is anything but! Congratulations!

I actually hated these when they first came out... then I played one and now I own 3

I've got a Monarchy in purple already or I would have probably grabbed that blue one. Excellent guitars, congrats

Nice choice! And the seller is top notch. I have been to Rayneman's house and bump into him from time to time around town. Takes great care of his gear and has a sweet collection.

I was totally ready to come on here and post how much I don't like the look of those guitars, but that one looks nice!

I think I don't like the look of the ones that have that patch of a different color in the middle. I don't know why but don't like it at all. The solid color ones look pretty good. Nice score!

Love EBMM Majestys they are my favorite modern guitars. Congrats!!

Congrats, man!

I play only MM basses and have a Luke II. Unfortunately I got unlucky with the Luke, which I bought 2nd-hand from Denmark at great expense, 'cause there's a bump in the fretboard around the 3rd to 6th fret. This means that I can't run the action as low as I'm used to due to risk of excessive fret buzz.

Figured I'd hang onto it anyway and see if a fret dress could compensate enough one day. It'll be touch-and-go 'though 'cause there isn't much meat on those puppies to provide a cushion; they're low-profile.

Again, congrats, man.

Got the MM 2 days ago. Its a beautiful guitar but the nut is grabbing causeing tuning issues. I play 8's due to arthritis ( finally gave in last year and dropped from 9's) so I'm hoping when i change the strings to 8's this will no longer be an issue . I hate nut issues,I'm not gonna buy nut sauce and the like I'll just take a file to it if i need to. Or sell it which at this point isn't on the radar because this thing is sweet ,all my other guitars have floyds and I decided to take a chance on this one not having a locking trem.
Anyway I always put a tremel-no on my guitars and set them up for dive only IMHO a floating trem is a PITA. However I can't find anyone that has a tremel-no in stock.
so for now the guitar sits in the case waiting to be set up.

Funny that; I've go a tremel-no in the Luke.

Sorry to hear about the nut, man. The Luke's nut is the slipperiest I've ever had. For the first time ever I can tune without having to back off first and wind up to the desired pitch; every millimetre I back off the string slips through and pitch goes down accordingly. Incredible (to me), so I'm thinking that the nut in your geetar should be just as good or very-similar, meaning that this issue will hopefully be a one-off that you can fix with a minimal file and / or some BB Nut Sauce.

These usually have good nut work, and the way they stagger the tuners, they tend to be pretty straight and smooth.

But, like you, I hate dealing with nuts, and nearly went all Floyd, until I got my Explorer. But, it just got picked up at the tech's as well. Nut needed attention, and needed fret leveling, which is odd for a PLEK'D guitar, (supposedly). Good news is, it's 100% now, and plays like a dream, and sounds like a beast with the Het Set in it!

So the guy I bought this from saw this thread and is sending me a tremel-no that he doesn't use . ......definately a cool thing to do

Wow, good on him!

The fact that you didn't bitch, whine and blame the issue on the seller, along with fek's endorsement of him, would've made reading the thread a pleasant experience for him. Can't hurt any.
