I'm a very dedicated EL34 guy at heart (for hard rock think Ministry, RATM, RHCP, etc.) I had a Peavey XXX a while back, not really impressed, knobs were immature-ish. I wish they sold a Peavey 6534+ 50 watt head. Not sure how good sales are on this amp...

soc_monki New member Jul 9, 2012 #4 well, i know people back in the day were adding the bias mod and sticking EL34s in, and even mixing ELs and 6L6s. i guess Peavey just decided to put it out there stock? LOL i love the 5150s personally, i miss mine terribly. still...id love to hear one!
