Just finished modding my Peavey VTM60!

I think I used a 500k when I did that and that did affect the tone. I ended up reverting it back to stock with just a bright switch as the only mod because it had some other issues that popped up. I'll probably mod it again at some point, but probably to just put a bias mod in it or something.

Thank you. I might just give up and drill some holes. Found the amp at a yard sale for a $100 so why not. Sounds great, I just need to switch channels!

You'll definitely need two volumes to balance the levels. You could always put one in one of the holes on the back for the outputs of the amp. There's five holes there I believe.

-I have a soft spot for the VTM's-

-all PEAVEY'S need a bias mod-

I ran a VTM60 as my main amp for a few years. GREAT amp, wouldn't mind another...

As for channel switching...

If you want even more control over it, get a Keeley true bypass looper, the Signal Pad, and a graphic EQ. For less than $200 new, you've added a clean channel. Used it's even cheaper.
