Just got my Kemper in. Help ?

Hey I need some help.

Just got my Kemper in. I want to update it to newest firmware and add all these free packs of amps on their website. So do I have to do each one individual? Like load everyone on a usb stick n go ?

There’s so many free amps from the Kemper site, Britt,ola, lasse,Lars.
These are seperate from firmware updates ?

How do I use rig manager ? Does that have to be downloaded too?

I want to pick through the ones I want to keep n delete all the rest. Do I do this on the Kemper or computer or with this manager thing.

You can download Rig Manager to your computer and after that you can download your rigs via sub to your Rig Manager library. From your library you can sample rigs on the Kemper as it is connected to your computer via sub cable. Then you can import the ones you like into kemper .

I have about 500 rigs in my library but only keep about 30 in Kemper.

Load firmware updates through a USB stick from the download on their page. I use rig manager to load profiles and manage the profiles on the Kemper itself.

If you have Facebook I highly recommend joining the Kemper profiling amp group, downloading the community pack which has a bunch of profiles on it and checking those out too.

Just turn on the FX block you want on top and you're off....Hold the button down to change FX and parameters....

To add to this, go to the Kemper site. There are loads of tutorials on setting up, what to download and how to format the USB and move from Rig Manager, Rig Exchange, external sources to the KPA.

You don't even need to use USB to update your Kemper firmware (OS System) anymore; Rig Manager can do that too.

I'd install Rig Manager first, do the update specifying in its preferences whether or not you want to stick with "full" versions or update with betas too (I'd ignore the betas for now), and then browse the built-in Rig Packs. Those packs on the site that you spoke about are all built into Rig Manager now, in addition, of course, to the 10 000 Rigs on the Rig Exchange.
