I F*CKIN LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh NO...what's my VH4S gonna think of me now!?!?! Seriously, came home late after picking this bad boy up, BEAUTIFUL new TJ....unpacked it, reseated the tubes and all that "be careful it's new" stuff, unloaded the cab (awesome V30 & GT75 X pattern by the way guys - perfect combo) and plugged 'er in....

BLISS!!!!!!! And channel 1 has got some SERIOUS terrain on it.

See ya in a few months folks...it's lockdown mode for me :rawk:

THANKS REINHOLD & CO. for a KICKASS RIG :worship: :worship: :worship:

V.

PS - pics to follow shortly...too busy playing and it's already well past my bedtime...too bad :inlove:

And it might be a bit early to say, but my concerns about "moving away" from EL34's may have vanished into thin air as of this evening.

Seemingly, thus far...I understand why Reinhold went the KT88 route. Pretty amazing tones man...pretty righteously amazing tones.

G'Night... Pictures posted tomorrow!!
V. :2thumbsup:

As promised.. I love this thing!! Now I just wanna hole up, forget about the holidays, and crank this puppy up till my fingers bleed... :rawk:

Don't forget to give the gift of your sonic mayhem to others...your neighboors and relatives. Grandma needs a little a Uberschall chugging for the holidays to kick her Christmas spirit into high gear!

kickass! I'm really wanting to try the TJ through a cab made for it, right now im using it through a Diezel loaded v30/k-100 cab. This thing is a monster when you get the master at least above 9:00

+1!!!!! Looks like I need to give Rob@ Tone Merchants a call!!!

Hmmmmm... My UberKab is a FL 4x12 with V30's and GT75's - so probably VERY similar sounding at the end of the day. I've yet to break it in of course, I mean, it's new...and things do fatten up and loosen up a bit after a few hours on high. But overall, I am really blown away with the simplicity of the amp, and its sonic range. Perfect.

Thanks Reinhold - this is an amazing set up.

PS - check the Diezel forum for a speaker shootout between the V30's, GT's, GK's and GH's - I think the thread is: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=24795

Excellent comparison albeit we all know cabs make a HOOOOGE difference.

Congratz. I have major GAS for that new FL uberkab. BTW - I just sold my VH4 after having my TJ for a few months.

I'm running it through one of the older Diezel cabs, RL.. wonder how big a difference it will make if I get the matching cab :D

Depends... I had an older RL Diezel 4x12 loaded with G12H-30's and it was pretty damn sweet. I think the main difference with the FL is more bite, attack and 3D spectrum. Bass is definitely changed up too, but overall, I like both RL's and FL's for a variety of reasons unto their own. If, in the case of my old 4x12 running 30W cones, I was to dime a new TJ, there's a good chance the cones would blow... 150W doesn't go into 120W rating too nicely. Then again, if you're not diming your Uber, the break up would be a little more premature and this could come across as good old vintage snarl

Peace,
V.

So V, you still lovin this amp? My gas pains shift almost daily between Friedman or Fortin Marshall, Bogner TJ or XTC or Diezel. I said I was going to wait until I finish school to buy a new amp, but that will more than likely be at least two years from now. ...might have to use student loans for an amp!!! :D

Glassjaw, I am L O V I N ! ! ! this amp m'man... Ya, it's an incredible rig. All I can say is, the terrain on Channel 1 can probably be more akin to a modded Marshall, a slippery Hiwatt, and a lot of other 'kinda sounds like' tones coming out of it. Bottom line is, I am super stoked with this rig - I love the fact I can have all the Bogner tones in the world from it (for an Uber), and still have the ability to conjure some modded sounds out of it too. Secondly, it's ridiculously loud. Thirdly, it's well built. And last but not least - 2 channels that can both attain melt-yer-face gain territory at sonic volume levels is a bonus. I mean, it's crazy to look over and see this nice head on a 4x12 casually there all lit up, and then blast a chord through it and feel yer pants flap. THAT is priceless

No complaints, love the TJ better than my Rev.Blue, great tones out of the KT88's for sure, the new UberKab is S I C K ! ! ! There's nothing I don't like about this amp, its quality, its construction, its sound - nothing is less than excellent on this rig :inlove:

Hope this helps with the gas pains :poke:

I just got a Twin Jet yesterday. It was the new one Bionicmark was selling. So far so good. I haven't played it too long, but its really cool. This is my 3rd Uber, and I am pretty sure I like this one a LOT more than the previous ones I've had. The 1st channel is WILD. It is very cool to be able to dial in two completely (and I mean completely) different gain tones in one amp. Channel two seems quite similar to my Rev Blue, but the additional depth and presence controls add quite a bit. For some reason, it seems to me that the EQ does alot more on this one. The interaction between the presence, treble and midrange seems more pronounced in the TJ. Anyway, I am looking forward to having the opportunity to turn this sucker up!

Congrats!! KILLER AMP!!

Must turn up!!

I got my tj a few days ago and I love it, Ive been a huge bogner fan for years.
I love the kt88 in this amp and I'm glad to see others with their new amp days taping about this amp.

You nailed it on the head - 2 completely different gain tones, 1 awesome amp. I don't need the clear cleans, not with this rig, but to be able to thunder up some amazing, distinct and 'distinguished' tones, man, I am in sonic heaven. I love the gain and the bass and the depth and the presence. I guess I love everything about it. Sure, sure, I know other Bogner aficionados will wax poetic about the XTC - and granted - that IS the epitome of 'versatility', but for thump and blitz, this latest model Uber kicksass. This amp has made me go apeshit for KT88's - it's just over-the-top.

As well, +1 on the notion that the 2nd channel isn't too different from the Rev.Blue But Channel 1 is something else.

Peace,
V.

I think my rev blue sounds a little but different than my tj on ch2, to my ears the tj is tighter and has more punch, less saturated and has more cut and seems brighter and less compressed.
The rev blue is darker and looser and the gain sounds smoother to me. I like both amps alot.

Having sold my Rev.Blue to accommodate the purchase of the new TJ, I had some good QT on the Rev.Blue. I found the 2nd channel to be a bit more fizzy, not in a bad way, more thick and slippery. The TJ is focused, pretty tight - not as tight as a Diezel, but tight - the bass is wall cracking, the depth and the presence EQ's are off the hook, and overall, the thing can sterilize ya if it's past 1 o'clock on the MV side of things. Scary really.

I love it - the TJ is my fave iteration of the Ubers thus far. I have a VH4S, and soon to be either the Einstein or the Herbert, but the Herbert is pretty well created to fill the spot the Uber made - so I feel as though I've really got the best of both worlds. It rips. And channel 1 hi-gain is so supreme... Reminds me of this Slashy/Rombola/Corgan mix of tube tone love.

Anyway - it's an incredible amp. It rips.
