Just had a mini-ampfest at my place!

At Ampfest v.1, I think there was Jason's Blackmore, my SE, Eric's Savage and Josh's Powerball and invader. I played them all and I don't recall any excessive noise either. Of course, I don't know that I would have heard any excessive noise given the fact that there were at least 6 amps blasting the whole time. :lol: :LOL:

Eric's Savage made it's grand showing at Ampfest V2.0 in the dark room of the Music Lab. But yeah, there was a ton going on both times all the time. Maybe it was teh PB at Ampfest V1.0 that crossed paths with the Blackmore and somehow mistakenly gave the Blackmore the bad impression. I dunno. :doh:

I guess you're right. So it definitely wasn't the Savage that was noisy. I've never been really sober at these events. :lol: :LOL:
 
No, I distinctly remember it being the Blackmoore because it was the only Engl I was interested in and I was in the market at the time. Don't get me wrong...it's a pretty good sounding amp...just noiser on the gain channel when you're not playing than I expected.
 
I saw your post on facebook about this. Very cool! I would have liked to check out that Mako but I was stuck on the side of the highway at the time. :cry:

Why didn't you fire up any of your 2205's? :D

Would have been cool to have you out here. The 2205's should definitely have been busted out but we were running out of room in my little studio. :doh:
