My first Bareknuckle pickup. I need something more Andersonish (but I can't fjorkin' GET Anderson humbuckers in WHITE, ahh!!!), and from all I've read it's the most open/uncompressed sounding of Tim's modern pickups.

I like the SSV for what it is, but even with as "low" output as it has according to Suhr, the clean sound is just plain non-existent. It rips like a screamy bitch distorted, but is too "80s thrash" for my taste. I guess I'm a hi-fi kind of guy? :)

I'll write a mini-review once I get it and install it in the S1. Here's hoping it lives up to the hype

It fuckin better! The Bare Knuckles are spendy. From the clips I have heard though....sounds killer!

Good luck my friend!

Not too much spendier than the Andersons I've bought (which range from $99-125 depending on the model).

And you're preaching to the choir; nothing worse than things not living up to hype!

Bareknuckles are amazing, Holydiver being one of the thickest sounding so get ready for a wall of sound!
My First Bareknuckle experience was my Jaw falling to the floor its funny as soon as you install a Cold Sweat everyone says its a instant john sykes thing and its so true.

Slightly off topic, but what really amazes me is that the Suhr SSV is rated at 9k DC, yet its perceived output is on par if not higher than my Anderson HN3. Definitely one of the most "distorted" sounding bridge humbuckers I've played.

Supposedly the HD is especially fantastic in alder bodied guitars, so we'll see how it does in the Suhr...
