All this talk about Steve Stevens, clips and the Rebel Yell pickups make me GAS for a bridge RY  .

But fortunately I don't have a guitar to put it into ;) . (Who the guck am I kidding with that?!)

Got a set in my LP......LOVE them!

PS: get some 500k RS Superpots as well....they match up perfectly.

God. You guys and the gas! So is this their equivalent of the JB?

Have any of you guys compared the Rebel Yell to a Suhr Aldrich? I currently have an Aldrich in my Les Paul Standard, but I've heard a lot of good things about these Rebel Yells. . .and, well, GAS. . .you know. :)

I have had both and heard both and my ear hears a little more compression and higher output in the Aldrich compared to the RY. The RY is a little bit more open has more of a bite than the Aldrich and the bottom end is super tight especially for an A5 pickup. Both great pickups for sure.

Exactly why I went for it. I like A5 better but have to have ultra tight bottom.

Think the Holy Diver covers that territory.

Yeah, but maybe a tad darker sounding. Cool pickup for Super Strats with Floyds.

Order a set then!!!!

I ordered it covered because I really want to retain the LPC look. However, I despise covers on pups and haven't used a covered pickup in 20 years. I am hoping I can get the pickup height where I want it because BKPs like to be fairly close to the strings. I have owned a ton of different models and they all sounded best about a nickel away from the strings.

The website says that this pickups are recommended for solid body guitars with set neck or neck through guitars. Will they also work for guitars with bolt on necks or will the holy divers be the alternative for that type of guitar?

They are designed for Les Paul style guitars, but work great in any mahagony/set neck and also work great in a super strat. I have had them in both, but no longer have the mahagoany set-neck guitar and sold the bridge pickup in my Kramer Baretta to my buddy because he really needed a high quality pickup in his home made strat and he loves it!!! Damn, I am a good friend!!!!      Now I want to try the RYs in my Heritage 150CM or I might check out the MCP 2nd Degree Blackbelts!!!
