Just ordered a Snakebyte Baritone.

When I saw that picture floating around of Hetfield with the see through purple baritone Snakebyte last year, I got a serious chub. I'm not really a fan of any 24 3/4" scale guitar but a sexy AF 27"..? Damn. I'm someone who thinks going down to D on my 25.5" guitars is getting to loose for me so this could be a thing I need to try. So, when they announced the LTD version last week I sighed. Looks like I'll have to buy another guitar that I don't need!

I have a bunch of ESPs, but I've also had the high end LTDs and honestly they are some damn fine guitars. Killer for gigging when I don't want to show up with a $5K Kiso made. I made some phone calls & got one on pre-order for a killer price due to the Black Friday shenanigans. Only 500 being made, anyone else going to pick one up?

I'm really considering grabbing one of these. I never really liked the look of the regular white/black snakebytes but this purple baritone is so gorgeous. I've been gassing for it bad this week!

This thread inspired me. I just contacted a smaller retailer through eBay and they sold it to me for $1199. Goes to show you gotta ask. Sweetwater, musicians friend, and other big box refused to move on the price when I asked.

I have an assigned Gear Advisor at one of the big online retailers, so I called him. They are 100% commission. He started out at 15% and I pushed for more, got them at 20%. Had to pull the trigger! Honestly I was surprised to get anything since it was a limited run but I have a thing about not paying retail, ever. I agree, never hurts to make some calls.

Hey guys, I got the guitar last week. LOVE it. You can tell it's a LTD not an ESP, but just in little things that aren't a bother for the difference in price. The wood has great tone, fretwork is great, neck is dead flat. Only thing I might change is have a bone nut installed, and maybe better tuners- we'll see how these go.

B was too low & sloppy to me so I'm in C at the moment. Tonally, C, C# & D seem to be the sweet spots. I have to down tune to match my voice when I sing so this guitar is going to see a lot of use.

The case is HUGE.

I ve been wanting a Baritone for years, when this came to my attention, i had to have it. I am a big Explorer fan...And Metallica so.....

We play in drop C and drop B. The 27" will be perfect for that. Cant wait to get it.

Thanks guys. Yeah, it kills through the Recto, and that's un-boosted. I was having a hard time capturing how big it sounded in the room.

Interesting that both my guitars with the Het Set EMGs sound a lot better through my Rectos than through my Marks.
