It's supposed to give you a midrange boost without cutting your highs or lows. I'm hoping it helps me carve out my own sonic space for solos as I always feel like I'm doing battle with my lead singer's guitar tone.

Kinda pricey for what it is, but if it helps me stand out in the mix, it's priceless to me!

It helped sell me that this guy opens with a pretty kick ass Queen's "Ogre Battle!"

Cool, I was looking into these when they were first announced. Let us know how it is!

Sounds like a great idea but I'd have to hear it in person. I thought it sounded very artificial in this clip...like it sits on top of the tone rather than being an integral part of it (if that makes any sense  ).

love the Fulltone pedals! Interpersonal skills are less than ideal, which kind of soften my GAS attacks.
Curious about your experience on this new pedal; looks kick ass for solos! I love mids in my lead tone

sounds good, a little high on the price, looking forward to your review

Okay, so here's a less-than-extensive initial review.

First of all, I ordered the pedal from Sweetwater on a Wednesday with a shipping quote for the following Monday. To my pleasant surprise, I received the pedal early Friday morning, which happened to be GIG DAY! Nice build quality (I'd hope so at this price).

I decided to drop it into my pedalboard and basically give it its test during our show as my gear was already with my singer to take to the club. Crazy, I know, but I've frustrated for so long about not cutting through the mix as much as I want (even with a volume difference of about 20% using my dual volume attenuator) and I thought that if it didn't sound good, it's easy enough to just turn it off.

I set the pedal as pictured here. The "Highs" knob acts more as a cut with full clockwise being no change.

My initial impression was that this pedal was just what I was looking for. It got my solos sitting in that perfect place where I barely needed a volume boost to cut through. Of course I still gave myself the volume boost cuz I wanted to cut heads off. ;)
My tone had a real classic rock searing and singing quality and stayed full. (Fulltone?  ). Very Schenker-ish, May-ish. Of course, with the adrenaline of the show and the sheer volume we were playing at, I can't tell you the fine specific of what it did to my tone. I'm not very good at tone adjectives anyway.

One very pleasing thing was that a few of our regulars said they heard me better than ever. Nothing more frustrating than working so hard on your solos only to have people say "Well, I could see your fingers moving, but they needed to turn you up."

Looking forward to experimenting more and giving you guys a better review or even a video demo.

Cool!

Main reason I LOVE the solo boost on my Triple Rec. Crushes everything if I want it to. :gethim:
