Just picked up an 80's Charvel!

I just purchased a mid 1980's Charvel Model 2 modded with an original Floyd Rose and a Seymour Duncan Distortion Humbucker. The guitar came with a hardshell snake skin case. How more 1980's can you get than that?! I can't wait to plug in and jam today!

I don't know what he paid for his, but I sold one just like that recently in my store. It had a black Floyd and an EMG and we sold it for $389. They are good guitars for the money and it's nice to be able to get something Japanese built in that price range.

Yeah, I love the non-recessed Floyd as well. I just got through setting it up and it definitely sounds mean and killer through my Orange amp!!!

I paid $400. I bought it from a guy off of Craigslist. I recently sold my 5150 combo and was planning on finding a cool 80's style shred guitar and this one caught me by surprise.

I agree that this model Charvel is a good value. Kind of like the MIJ Fender guitars from the 80's and early 90's.

I love that movie! It's been quite a while since I've last seen it. I had forgotten about what Vai's guitar looked like.

I paid $400 cash for it, as the guy I bought it from had modded the guitar with a Seymour Duncan Distortion pickup and an original Floyd Rose.
