Sounded really good. Took my 10 year old Marshall cab with original V30's as a reference as well as my JVM head. Had huge bottom end, not necessarily tighter than the Marshall but definitely bigger. It had a little hump in the low mids that I am not sure that I completely care for...although dialing in the amp a little made it sound better so it's not a big deal. The high end was a lot better on the Mills. I will probably end up ordering 2 unloaded ones and putting my nice and broken in V30's in there.

The Mills also had V30s ? I assume the high end being better on the Mills was down to being more articulate and smoother than the Marshall ?

And keep in mind that they have to get broken in...

The Mills cab was brand new, less then 15 minutes of play time on it when Jason came over and pounded on it. It's sounding better and better by the minute.......

mmm, that must sound great. How does it compare to the regular Afterburner?

The one thing I didn't hear was that expanded projection that everyone talks about with the larger Mills cabs. It seemed to be just as directional as my Marshall cab. Maybe that phenomenon is restricted to the larger cab design only. Still, it sounded great and was very smooth, even though the speakers were brand new.

According to what Mills told my friend, yes that expanded projection happens with the larger cab mostly. Thats not to say the Classic won't project well, just that the big one does it better. I've tried the big one and its like surround sound for guitar !

Take it to a club, and play some riffs. You will hear a difference... and the audience will too.

It's not my cab but as soon as my LP sells I will have 2 of them and they will be seeing plenty of gigging action.

All these Mills threads are killing me with gas. Between these, the Fortin threads, and the Flying V threads I'm going crazy :loco:

Hopefully :gethim: Allen will be bringing this cab over tomorrow to compare to my full-sized Afterburners and my bogner cab. I'm curious if there is much of a difference.

I'm very interested in the difference between the Classic and Bogner cab. Though I will be getting a full sized Afterburner.
