It made me happy and sad all at the same time ?
I hadn’t watched it in quite a while but damn, if in Ep IV certain moments still got me emotional and suddenly I was 7 again. That title intro, the music…happy place
EP 1-3 missed the mark (worst thing about them is how dull and boring they are) and everything since Force Awakens has basically been total shit, except Rogue One which is just OK but shines, being made amongst shit. It’s been somewhat entertaining watching Disney get blasted for Acolyte.
It’s also just a damn shame there isn’t an official Blu-Ray release of the OT in its theatrical versions The additions are still so distracting and a few ruin important character moments. Everyone knows the, Greedo shooting first travesty, but one I hadn’t seen before was in EP 6 as Vader grabs the Emperor to toss him, he wails Nooo as if they’re trying to strengthen the moment in EP 3 that everyone just lambasts when he cries out at the end as he emerges in the Vader armor. Ugh and the damn Hayden Christensen force ghost at the end ?
Current Star Wars makes you wonder how did this become a cultural phenomenon but I got a nice reminder today. Just some good ol’ fashioned Good vs. Evil, presented with expert craftsmanship and loving care.
