48th Street Custom Guitars kicked ass! That's where I bought my ESP Lynch Tiger (pre serial number) back in 1988. The guys that worked there were super cool. Showed me all kind of custom guitars they were building at the time. ALL ESP guitars went through that store until ESP moved to LA.

I've read and heard many times that 48th St. Custom Guitars didn't really "make" custom guitars, they just assembled and set up a custom creation using ESP bodies and necks with appointed hardware (since it was when ESP was still primarily a replacement parts company) and dubbed "48th St. Custom Guitars", although they also sold ESP's there as well (made in Japan). I have a 30th anniversary catalog that pretty much says the same thing, IIRC. Actually, I've heard many times from ESP insiders that no "true" ESP's were ever made in the states, just routed through their "shops" in NY and then LA.

Pretty sure it's only gonna be an LTD

Seems to keep true to the Lynch LTD tradition. They seem to produce different classic Lynch models each year. The serpent has always been my fave, even though Lynch and his associated style of music was before my time.

I wouldn't have a problem with an LTD Lynch guitar, except it will probably be spendy, too spendy for an LTD.

I just grew up with ESP Lynch models and the Serpant is my all time fav hense my disappointment.

I had a chance to buy a Serpent for $750 back in '99.
Still kicking myself for that one!
