Kage's Gig last night with the Axe-Fx

hey John ... Id def say the stock Mesa tubes help out a lot . steve told me a while back that Mesa designed the amps to run the best with their tubes . Hey he was right ! when i put in stock 6L6's and stock 12ax7's the Mark III was smoother , creamier , quite a bit quieter and just all around a better amp . But now ... its sitting in a box waiting to be shipped to Mesa since it crapped out . after i have it repaired by Mike B ... itll be up on the spam block and Ill be looking for a JVM410 . As of now at the studio I use stevies Mark IV ... I just dont have it for the Mesa's like i used to .
Sorry i missed out on ya Kage .. had a medical emergency to deal with and everythings ok . ive wanting to get up off my lazy ass to come down to the LI shows . Im amazed steve went ..good to see him get out .. he needs it ..this i do know !!!

Very cool, christ I wish that these gigs were earlier cause I would have to lay with the homeless at GCS till the weekend 0600 left the station Cool that Steve was around, I miss the guy.

Looking forward to a demo of the Atomic stuff and as always I could grab guys from the train station if need be.

I went to a mini ampfest in Cleveland yesterday and Fredster brought his AxeFX. I must say, that sucker is an amazing piece of gear I definately have seen the light and am thinking of ways now to get me one

Im telling you Tom, We've just begun to scratch the surface of this thing and with some help from Tom King, Im going to dig in even more to further the greatness of the AxeFx.

Damn Bro, hope all is well!!! We play at Jugs monthly so no biggie, you catch us when its convenient. We're also playing In Lindenhurst saturday november 1st at the Untouchables MC, always good times there...

I actually picked up a podxt pro today for my rack to have as a backup rig. Traded my spider valve for it plus cash.

Nope...still $699...plus I had cash thrown in the deal for me. I couldn't even move the spider valve at $500 shipped. Just been sitting around boxed up.

ohhh i thought YOU traded plus cash....nevermind. i have a pod xt myself, i wouldnt mind having a pro and throwing it in the rack, i love the effects regardless of what anyone else here says about them. im just not sure i could really throw another piece of gear like that into the G system rig

I only took it to have as a backup rig. I still have all my old podxt patches saved so it'll be easy to get that up and running.
