I'm thinking of putting together a parts guitar reminiscent of Lynchs Kamikaze. I've seen a few places where I could get a neck from but am having trouble finding a body. Any suggestions.

Get ahold of Randy at Butalacustomguitars (ebay username). All hand built, excellent quality and attention to detail. He's built a couple of necks for me and they are stellar. Good pricing as well...

The more I look at it I guess it's basically a Soloist style body. I originally thought the Soloist was thinner and had longer horns.

It's got more meat to it than a soloist... the horns are thicker and the contours on the body aren't as deep. Plus you get the super cool recessed jack on the side!

KAMIWORKS on Ebay can probably get you closest to the solid chunk of maple, with the correct Kamikaze carve, that you are searching for.

You could always find the 200 series LTD Kami's on eBay, unless you're wanting to build a higher end guitar. I personally wouldn't go that route, but just as another option . . .
