I know it was Texas with it's own laws on self defense; Many of these people trying to justify Karmelo Anthony's actions come from states with duty to retreat laws. This isn't a primitive honor culture where you can challenge someone to a duel.

If you don't understand the simplicity of self-defense laws in a state where you don't have a duty to retreat like in texas, there is NO way you would understand them in blue states where the laws are more complex. There's actually a pretty large link between IQ level and impulse control. It's a little more complex than a 1:1 ratio, but simplified higher IQ equates to higher executive functioning, better self regulation of emotions, and better cognitive abilities to think through a situation. Of course the inverse; lower IQ limits these abilities leading to diminished impulse control and acting on emotions rather than thinking things through.

Fair enough, and this pertains to America ATM, but are Asian people here responsible for the majority of violent crime? Is the number one cause of death for Asian males age 14-44 (Est. It's a moving target year to year) homicide? Continuing to reference what has happened as a result of other people is perpetuating the victim mentality and not advancing anything. As a people, you either possess enough basic intelligence to see it, rise above it and set a new path, or you continue on the same path screaming about things that didn't even happen when you were alive. There has been ample opportunity given by others for that new path to be forged. Including the byproduct of the Defund the Police movement which resulting in a more hands off approach from LE. That was the perfect opportunity to show as a people, they can abide by the laws and rules of a civilized society. That has not happened.

I get where you and madasahatter are coming from but who and what we are talking about are largely inner city people. The idea that their rural, and other more sane brethren should pull all of them up by the bootstraps collectively and "set a new path" as you said, isn't realistic. It's like expecting rural whites to convince the socialist lib whites in the city to start voting conservative.

If anything those same socialist lib whites can be assigned a share of the blame since they have in some ways enabled this mindset, and even promoted it through tv, movies, and video games (and policy). Everyone is responsible for their own actions but when you are raised and surrounded by losers and fed content promoting the loser life as virtuous it is much more likely you will engage in loser behavior yourself. The Cosby effect I mentioned is an example of that. I think some serious structural changes are needed all around and tbh I think righting the ship is no longer a possibility but maybe I should be more of an optimist.
