2 4x12s for the garage? FUCK that's some air you're moving. K does work very well with 1x12 and 2x12 at my house.

Yup. It fucking slays with one 4x12.
Had 2 different Y splitter boxes made. Series and parallel.
Amp just falls apart on full stack. Again. My opinion only.
Does sound great. But hoping it was gonna deliver the goods as my first ever solid state to bring it.
Once again. Tube amps kick it aside
On pure power and feel.

Hmmm, I have been playing my Katana with two 16 ohm cabs (8 ohm load) and it sounds pretty massive. Now that might make one think that it just sounds better with an 8 ohm load but, I also hooked it up to a single 16 ohm 4x12 and compared it to a single 8 ohm 4x12 and aside from just the difference in tone from type of speaker, I didn't notice any volume or fullness differences. I wonder if the splitter is causing a phase issue. Maybe try the 9 volt battery test thing.

The splitter boxes are just that. Non powered.
It sounds full. Sounds good. But that 'great ' feeling of one 4x12 was missing.

No, I meant the 9 volt battery test to see if all 8 speakers are in phase. Hook both cabs up together like you would to run them both to the Katana. Then touch the tip and sleeve of the cord to the + & - of the battery. As you do that watch to see that all the speakers move the same direction. If the two cabs are not in phase with each other, it will sound thinner.

Gotcha man. Will give it a whil this week.
I barely wander out to the jam space outside of Saturday.
They are both identical cabs. Randall Lynch box 4x12s.
Sound awesome together with all other amps.
Again. Not knocking the boss. One of my top 5 amps.

I hear ya man. A single 4x12 just doesn't do it for me after playing with two for so long. Even playing in my room I hook up two cabs. I know you've been rocking those Lynch cabs for a while.

Plus I think I need to re tweak it. Alone. No drummer. No drinks.
Didn't give it a fair chance. Maybe 20 minutes dialing.
Sure it will perform. Just venting initial thoughts.

Hey Yngwie Malmsteen why do you need more than one 4x12?!

My drummer plays so loud. The 2nd cab I have gives me a fighting chance. :D

Give that man some brushes to play with.

I got a pretty good set up. Cabs are spread about 15 feet apart behind me. I play in between them and it's just this massive thick wall of tone. Call me spoiled. :D
